We recently sold a pallet conveyor system to a local pharmaceutical company for a special handling application.
The system was basically to be used for handling small light pallets of plastic trays in a loading area.
The pallets full of plastic trays had to loaded by hand and then handed off to another area for despatch.
The volume of parts produced and the stretching of operators to reach the bottom of the empty pallet box was a problem for the customer.
The boxes then has to be lifted up to 2M high to the top of a stacked pallet. These pallets were the exact height to be loaded straight into a container, thereby wasting none of the container space.
The pallets themselves were light but were too large to be lifted or loaded safely.
We provided a conveyor system with a pneumatic tilt mechanism to tilt the empty box towards the operator. This made loading the box easier.
When full, the box was levelled and then manually pushed to the side through a roller conveyor and a ball table to an extending table that retracts when the box is removed.
Wherever possible we always use standard conveyors and adapt them to create custom solutions.
