When managing the movement of  pallets on a pallet  conveyor, a 90 degree change in direction can be an issue to be overcome in  various ways and AS Conveyor Systems have a few options.

One way would be to have a bend, but  with chain driven pallet  conveyors this can be a problem technically and in addition, the bend can  take up a lot of space as the inner radius needs to be  large.
You can use a lift and transfer  station to pick up the pallet and move it, but sometimes the variety of pallet  designs and the unreliable state of some pallets means that this can also cause  problems. The most flexible option may be to use a pallet conveyor turntable as  in the photo here.
These turntables can rotate the  pallet through 90 degrees as well as 180 degrees and 270 degrees if necessary.  Small support rollers in the radius corners assist the pallet on entry and  exit.
