One useful conveyor belt option is the so-called "Wavy" side cleat. This is a longitudinal welded-on cleat that runs usually along the edges of the belt and is used where there are small parts that must stay on the belt and not get trapped or go missing under fixed side guides. This option is commonly used on incline conveyors where lateral cleats are also fitted, to lift the product on the belt uphill. It's not the cheapest option but is sometimes necessary where the product on the belt dictates it. There are often restrictions on the height of these cleats, mainly due to the diameter of the conveyor belt roller. The smaller the roller, generally the smaller the cleat height. This option is available on almost all conveyors we offer including stainless steel options with food grade belts.
