The new Dorner 2200 Series Mid Drive belt conveyor platform creates additional space for operator and machine interfaces.
The new compact three roller design is 40% smaller than traditional, tensioned centre drives, clearing more space along the entire conveyor.
The design also frees up the motor to move to any position and leaves the area near the ends of the conveyor free for confined applications.
The Mid Drive can now be positioned anywhere along the length of the belt conveyor.
With the drive in the centre, both ends can have nose bar transfer tails, which tighten the transfer gap from conveyor to conveyor or machine.
Therefore smaller products can be moved on and off the conveyor with added stability and reliability.
Mid Drive is capable of speeds up to 120M/min and loads up to 40KG.
In addition, the Mid Drive two-half design can be taken apart very quickly.
This allows the belt to be changed in minutes. Additionally the Mid Drive design retains Dorner’s V-guided belt, not normally available with centre drive arrangements, which eliminates belt tracking problems.
