ImageThe first pictures are emerging of the new Dorner 1100 conveyor belt system.
Among the features of this exciting new conveyor are the new pinch drive design. With patent pending this new option increases the carrying capacity of the conveyor without need for high belt tension.
The low belt tension allows Dorner to use miniature rollers for optimal small parts handling.
This means that very small diameter rollers help to transfer very small products.
The standard drive end roller is 25mm diameter.
The standard tail end roller is 16mm diameter. An optional knife edge roller is available at 8mm diameter.
Some knife edges are available smaller than this on other conveyor systems but the knife edge is static, not rolling and therefore speed is limited and belt wear can be an issue in some applications.
An 8mm diameter knife edge transfer roller (Available at both ends on the centre drive version) can allow constant transfer of parts as short as +/- 13mm without any support plates or dead areas.
The compact miniature design of these conveyor systems frees up valuable machine or worker space.
The 1100 series belt conveyor is clean room certified to class 100 for use in medical, pharmaceutical and other clean room applications.
The system still retains the T-slot system for flexibility and speed in mounting components or accessories
